Adrienne GrabowskiJ & K Canine's scent detection training program more than exceeded my expectations. From day one, I was amazed at my canine Sydney's ability to detect the odor of bed bugs. She was well trained; however, I came into the program with no knowledge or experience in handling a detection dog and no knowledge of bed bugs. Our instructor Bun did a phenomenal job of educating and training my classmates and me, encouraging us, challenging us and holding us to the highest of standards. By the end of training and certification, I was well prepared to perform inspections in the field with Sydney.
I'd like to thank Pepe for his unwavering support, advice, encouragement and above all, his integrity. Pepe is always willing to go above and beyond to help. I could cite many examples, but one memorable incident comes to mind.
After one of my first jobs, I had settled in for the night when Sydney decided to devour a rather large sock. Although I now realize the benefit of a vet who will take my calls 24/7, at that point I didn't know what to do. In a panic, I contacted Pepe late at night. He was patient and helpful and the advice he offered saved Sydney from some serious medical consequences.

Amazing! Is the best word to sum up the capabilities of our dog R.E. I have seen other detection dogs in my experiences as a police officer that did not have one quarter the drive to work and work correctly as R.E. I am constantly pleased with his performance and level of accuracy. I have investigated other termite detection methods. Nothing on the market today can even come close to comparing with the level of accuracy that R.E. gives our company when it comes to finding termites in a structure. We have used J & K Canine’s specially trained and certified bed bug detecting dogs in conjunction with our bed bug programs a number of times. They are an excellent tool that has helped us greatly when needed. We have used these specialty “technicians” in some of our programs to find bed bug problems and in some programs to also verify that our work has been successful and bed bug elimination has been achieved. In our experience these canine detectives have found every placed “hide” used to test the dogs during our inspections with them. In addition we have never had an issue where we felt that the dogs were not correct in their judgements during their inspections when we followed proper inspection protocols for bed bug detecting dogs. While their use is quite an investment they have always been worth every penny and I gladly wrote the check every time.The staff at Pepe’s Dogs, the handlers, the staff at the kennel, and the dogs themselves, have been helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. They have always interacted with our clients and our client’s residents in a professional and courteous manner. The on site staff has always left a great impression with our clients and everyone loves the dogs. They were extremely helpful in setting up the logistics of the work performed when we began our relationship with them so that the work could be performed effectively and efficiently. We look at Pepe’s dogs as an excellent tool in our bed bug arsenal. They have helped us and they could provide the same help to other organizations, both pest control companies and property management firms or departments, with figuring out their bed bug issues.
